I'm about to start work on a Cathedral Windows quilt, which will have the traditional white background and colored "glass". I will be using my sewing machine for the background blocks, and plan to do the rest by hand stitching. So -- when I add the colored "glass", what color thread shall I use? White or colored to match the "glass"?
Cathedral Windows silly question

I've only done a small three by three sample, total of about 6 inches square, but I used white thread as what I was rolling back was white and with the hand stitching-in-the-ditch, the white was taking the most of the thread and the part of the stitch that was in the color part was sort of under and more hidden. Just what worked for me with my stitching method.
