"Christmas Ribbons" finished

I've had a really nonproductive month, quilt-wise, and was pleased to finish this flimsy last night. It will be professionally quilted and raffled by the Friends of the Library this fall.

The quilt is glorious. Just wonderful. Help us here. Just exactly what is your definition of flimsy? Flimsy is what I think of as sort of thin and shabby. Might just be a regional thing. (When DH says 'stout' - he means strong. I think of stout as well-padded.) Anyhow. I had no idea what you meant about finishing a flimsy. Polly

Flimsy, used as a noun rather than an adjective, is a recent quilting term meaning "unquilted top."

Gorgeous!

Was that your own pattern? If not -- would you share the name?

its the Oklahoma Twister block. this was originally a free block pattern but now she is selling the full

4page pattern. iirc, the block is 12 inch but could easily be reduced to suit. it is just squares and HSTs in the right config. i'm sure you could figure that one out easily, Kate. j.

webshots is a jpg file. its the only way i could upload the pix. it is only a pix of the block. that said will forward it to ya as all this activity helps keep my insanity at bay a few minutes longer. j.
