Comforting Memorial quilt-lets

My Monday Sewing group, Sew nTell, made up of past students , fellow guild members, charity sewers and anyone looking for a large workspace to sew, surprised me yesterday at lunch with a little box filled with

5-6" little quilts to remember the recent passing of my lifelong friend. Each little quilt represented some aspect of her that they each remembered, and they used scraps of fabric that came from her fabric stash. It was such a comfort to see the manifestation of the friendship of this group. Each one is as unique as the person who made it and as unique as the person it was made to remember. A great sharing of caring and friendship, as an only child I am so blessed to have so many wondrful sisters by choice. Their caring lifts the great sadness at the loss of my friend Marianne. That's awesome, Mauvice. What a wonderful thing. Thanks for sharing that, and may they continue to bring you lots and lots of love and comfort as you love 'em over and over again.

That is just lovely and caring of them. You too must be a wonderful friend to them!
