arrived yesterday - had me a bit confused as I didn't remember ordering anything from Amazon lately :-) Thanks *so* much...the red just may end up as a dress for me and the chiffon print will probably go to a blouse. The children were actually fighting over who got something made from what fabric...until I told them it was MINE...ALL MINE!!!!! That quieted them down for a bit but we made a concession that, once I have a chance to take a serious look at everything and match it up to patterns, we will discuss what each child will get out of each fabric.

Larisa, still scratching my head over some of these (as in...what exactly is the fiber content of this???)

Larisa, I'm sooooooooooooo glad the box arrived. I have no idea what the fiber content of any of it is, LOL. My best guess is to treat it like I treat everything: wash on cold, hang to dry. I do that before sewing any garment and if I pick up "mystery fabric" at estate sales I do the same before putting into a quilt. Wallhangings, I'm not too worried about.

Good luck, and I really want to see some pics eventually of adorable children wearing clothes made of mystery fibers. ;)

As soon as I get these signature quilts finished I will get to work on the kids clothing. I will actually be attaching the label to the first quilt tonight..woohoo!!! pictures have been taken with it stretched across my dining room table, and I will try to remember to upload them tonight...tomorrow at the latest.

I have already determined that the red print will go into a dress for me...just because it's funky enough. The pink linen-type fabric with the roses...that's causing some trouble because I *don't* like pink, but I have a great pattern that would work nicely with the fabric. I am thinking that the ultra-light gauze with the sombreros will work up nicely into a summer nightgown....and man..ALL that purple gingham!!!! That could easily work up into several interchangeable pieces for DD as well as new curtains for the sewing room!!!! If I decide to do that, the curtains that I have up now will get recycled into a couple more rows of ruffles to be sen onto a dress that DD just loves (as do I), but that is a bit short on her right now (as in, barely covering her butt!!!).

I will definitely post pictures when I get these things figured out and finished.

Thanks again!!

Larisa
