Hullo Annie and welcome. I noticed your name in an earlier thread - but my memory is bad some days, so I couldn't be sure whether or not we had met you before! What kind of P&Q do you like doing? . In message , orphan Annie writes

Welcome, Annie. This is a really friendly bunch and it sounds like you have a houseful of QIs (that is quilt inspectors). what are you working on?

Welcome, Annie!

I was also a senior student (BA at age 50 in 2003) and can so relate. Lots of work, no time! Hang in there. Sewing/quilting does help with the relaxation and stress reduction - just keep it simple :)

Cockatiels are such sweet birds; DH and I used to raise them (we currently have 4 parrots).

Patti,

She is doing great, she's just a hoot. She's really settled down and allows us to handle her a great deal now...her 'complaining' is all but gone, I think she's realized we're not going to eat her :) Her vocabulary now includes "Good morning!" and "Peekaboo!"

Yesteray we had her on the roll-about stand in the living room, drying off after having a bath (yes, we stick our birds in the shower about once week), while I was watching an old movie (I'm a sucker for them), "It Happened One Night" where there is music at the end, a wedding march

- Dreya started swaying and cooing....at first I didn't realize what she was doing but DS came in and said, she's singing, mom! After the music stopped, so did she, so to 'check,' I backed up the movie and played that part four times -- she swayed and sang each time, it was so cute!
