I'll ditto Nana! They did NOT inform me of their discontinuence (sp?) of newsgroups. It worked fine yesterday, but today NADA! ZILCH! I immediately registered a complaint and (THANKS to you gals) switched over to Motzarella with nary a problem!

I got a reply to my complaint to Comcast.... "Comcast has decided to discontinue offering Newsgroup services. This is based primarily on 2 factors; child safety and low usage."....."Fewer than half of a percent (0.5%) of our subscribers used the Comcast Newsgroups service; the vast majority of our customers will not be impacted."

I thought the same thing, Anne. But couldn't get to the newsgroups tonight. Am now using Motzarella without problem. Took me a little while to get it set up since I'm not the most computer savvy person around! LOL
