Linda, I'll be 50 next birthday, and I STILL ring mum when things go wrong! :)
We're glad to have you back! :)

Oh, trust me, this is not project I will make mistakes on. Afterall, it does have MY address in it as well so everyone will know where I live!!!! ;>)
Alice, Alice, Alice. Have you learned NOTHING from the great masters here? The following is respectfully submitted as proposed policy:
"Anyone wishing to complain about alleged mistakes made in the directory must submit said complaint along with several pieces of gourmet chocolate, each individually wrapped in a fat quarter. Submit said complaint to Alice (or her designated complaint-receiver), and such complaint will be given due consideration, in proportion to the number of pieces of chocolate sent with the complaint."
Well, what was I thinking? I love that policy. It shall be included in the Directory FAQs for the next version. I thought a FAQ file would be easier than repeating myself all the time.
It's good to see you again, Linda. And happy birthday! Yep, some of them are tougher than others, but you also can be pretty proud of yourself that you raised young'uns who are out on their own and doing their best to be independent. Of course, that's not to say they still don't need Mom once in a while, and aren't you glad you're able to be there for them?
Glad to be of service! :)
I know what my husband is like during a "major project launch" so ask you to take care of yourself. It would be better to have an Alice with sound mind than the directory by the end of this week. Hope the launch is uneventful. The only thing worse than worrying about a launch is the day after if the launch brought the system down. Hopefully your trip is non-work related and relaxing. Thanks for your work on the directory.
Susan
Susan, it's so nice you assume I am starting with a sound mind! Some might argue that point. But, my trip is pleasure on some levels - I get to see my mom again, I get to spend my DGD's first birthday with her and my son and DIL, my mom and DH, I get to spend some alone time with my DH on the AutoTrain ride down and back (he lives for these rides!), and I get to meet an RCTQ quilting buddy who lives near my son! Of course, we'll do some maintenance on my mom's home and get her doctor visits out of the way. I more want to make sure she is eating ok, stock her fridge and pantry with food and that everything else is on order. Plus, she'll get to see more of the baby since I can have her as long as I want according to my DIL. I intend to take her up on that. I also want to spend some quality time with my sweet, patient, tolerant, supportive, loving, did I say patient? husband who has put up with all of my long work hours, business travel, issues with my DD on one end and my mom on the other. When he vowed for better or worse, he meant it and he deserves some kind of a medal for it. So, I want to make sure he has some "chill out" time too.
Alice, I don't know how you do all that you do, but please know we appreciate it.
Thanks so much, Cindy
Take your time, Alice! No rush, no worries.

I have all my squishies ready to roll. Look forward to the directory whenever it is ready.
Please take it easy...your health, work, and trip are way more important. We can wait on the directory.
Happy Quilting, Diane F.
I second that, too!! Take care of yourself!
Thanks for the update, Alice -- but work at your own pace. :)
