Directory Status Report

Ok, I know you are all being patient, but I am working feverishly on the Directory. I am in the done with email checking and am now checking out the entries that have not been in previous directories. I ask you all to be patient a tad more. We have had a major project launched at work and I am working an average of 14 hours per day. Unfortunately, I also have a trip planned and leave on the 14th for a week. So, hopefully, before the end of October, you will definitely get more of a treat than a trick!

I'm going to do all I can to get it out this week!

Alice..... please don't burn yourself out. If you're on "overload" at work, and planning for a much deserved trip, I, for one, am more than willing to wait until the end of October....... be kind to yourself!!! And thank you again for all you do.

How can we be impatient with you Alice. You are an angel to take this on & it sounds like a monumental task. When the new directory arrives, it will be a nice surprise for us all!

I second that!!! I was concerned when I read your message Alice. This should be fun....not a huge amount of work that hangs over your head. We can wait until whenever to get the directory! I, too, thank you for your time, trouble and talent. KJ

Alice, Please take the time you need to do the directory, hey you could make it a Christmas present if need be. I am sure that everyone here can wait and it could just give some of us newer people a chance to be in the directory. Esp., since just getting the email to respond back to checking addresses doesn't mean you made it. :) Don't work too hard either on the directory and or work and please enjoy your time away.

Aw, don't fret over it, Alice! I'm willing to wait until you have time for the project, and I'm sure most folks would agree. A labor of love like the directory shouldn't turn out to be a burden for you. I've been going through something similar most of the summer. Don't burn out on us!!!

take it easy Alice - don't use more energy than you have - we can wait a bit longer if we know why it's taking longer - which we now do :-) and we *all* know how life and work can get in the way of other things

We all appreciate your time. I wish it could be easier, but not if we want to remain private to the outside.

Thank you

No, YOU are! I think the only reason anyone mentions the directory is to make sure they weren't missed. Not because they think it is late getting issued (Hummmm not sure that makes sense.....I KNOW what I'm trying to say...just not doing it well.) Take your time. Keep it fun. We will wait patiently. Don't get frazzled, Alice. This is a purely voluntary gift to us - when it comes is just wonderful. Please, please don't worry. If you're working that long at work - and you have family to care for, too - you need to rest some. I am so grateful to get it, as and when. My time is going so quickly anyway, that it still would feel like July, if the evenings were lighter >g< You take care. It'll be done when it's done. . In message , AliceW writes

I'll second that! Thank you, Alice, for all your hard work. BUT as everyone has said, take care of yourself FIRST. We (quilters) are a patient lot. ME-Judy

Thanks for doing this, Alice! You're really doing a great job -- especially considering the hours you're keeping. Don't work yourself into a frazzle -- we can be patient. :)

Alice, please take it easy and enjoy your trip. Rushing may cause you to make mistakes. I am sure the gals getting it wouldn't like that. (((HUGS)))

I want to thank all who sent birthday squishies. This was a tough birthday for me, although I realize that growing older beats the alternative! My youngest is now a full-fledged adult, with a job and living on her own (although I do still get those frequent calls when things go wrong). I am still adjusting to being an empty nester and I'm keeping busy by becoming a helium hand at work and volunteering for every little committee that comes up.

This is a wonderful group of people and I'm so happy I found my way back here after a long absence.
