EQ 7

I do not have any insider knowledge. However, I have not seen any wish lists posted on Info-EQ for the next version. For the past two versions, there has been extensive discussion of suggestions and then an acknowledgement that something is in the works, long before a release. My suggestion is to go ahead and get EQ6. If and when EQ7 becomes available registered owners will likely be offered a great upgrade price. Jan -- one of the Quilt Mavens was at our guild at the beginning. She is helping with #7 (she does the spiky quilts). It is going to take another year or year and a half to complete as there is much code left to be written.

Anyone else hear anything else?

Thanks - I was debating about putting 6 on my wish list with dh and I think I'll wait and see what the Lord will do - this year's Christmas or wait... Musicmaker

I asked at the EQ web site and they said that it won't be coming out for quite some time, seein' as how they're still writing a few more EQ6 companion books ...

I've got EQ6 and I LOVE it ... there's only a few things that I would do differently (which is usually more than I can say about most software). But really, I think that it's worth it to buy EQ6 now (NAYY, just a more than satisfied customer), and upgrade when EQ7 comes out.
