I didn't raise my hand. I'm on a finish-it quest. I did buy some fabric to finish a quilt and some for a class I'm taking at QU. I finished my October quilt last night (yippee!) Now, on to November (I have to do two for this month plus a couple odds and ends) so starting early is a good thing.

Hi All, I'm going to try to go on a "high fiber diet" for the rest of the year. I have been really bad lately & buying a lot of beads. Right now I'm using them to make beaded ornament covers. I also use the beads on my quilts and for jewelry. So I'll have to go on a "bead diet " too.

I'm with Brenda!
Well, Kris, if you would like to use up a lot of beads, one of the ladies in our group does this: she makes her quilts, however she wants them, and then she sews beads all along the outside edge - in a colour to match or tone with the binding. She uses a lot of purple and red and orange, so the whole effect is rather oriental! . In message , Kris Bishop writes
Don't look at me
Oh Marcella, I'm with you ! I managed to finish a lot of things the past year and managed not to start another big quilt , ok, started some small things and finished them, but nothing big. My goal is to finish 2 UFO's before starting one new project, which should bring me problems if I was consequent :-))

Hey! I even turned down FREE FABRIC this month!!! All other considerations aside, I promised Harri I wouldn't bring any more bags of fabric home until I've finished some of the projects already in the pipeline. At that point, though. . . :-)

I did sort of fall off the wagon a teeny bit...Bought some 50" wide fabric for backing charity quilts at $1.99 a metre at Jysk [it's not a fabric store, so it doesn't really count] and a charm sample pack of Aunt Grace repros for my midget block sampler....only 5" square and less than $10 Cdn so it doesn't count either. Other than those two little transgressions, I've been very very good....moaned so much about a gorgeous gold/orange batik that a friend took pity and bought it for me...so that doesn't count either!

......don't they..........?
No they don't - but if you eat them standing up they don't count!
Hmmm.......so I don't have to batter cokies no more but eat them while I'm waiting at the busstand......:)
