fabshop hop is anyone participating

I am just wondering if anyone is participating in the FabShop Hop and if they know how it works. I know you visit all these shops and find all these rabbits, but does it help to go over the number that you must find to be eligible to win the grand prize?

I have found 132 and it just takes 130 to be eligible for the grand prize and all other prizes are less than that but I don't know if I should try to find more.

It does say that if you find 130 you will be entered into the grand prize drawing.

Suggestions?

Thanks,

Jacqueline

I usually try to find all of them but I don't think it makes any difference. I have won small prizes in the past but haven't won anything in the past few tries. Good luck!

I only found the required 130 in the last hop and I won a $10 gift certificate for a quilt shop. Plan to spend it today

I always participate, and while it's true that finding only the required number will make you eligible..... I always get addicted and find every single rascally rabbit!

Hi,

I quit when I reach the minimum. Although I've only won a few small prizes, I don't think finding more would help.

Well I finished the hop tonight and didn't buy a thing, I am so proud of myself for that. Any way there are seven that are not fixed yet and one that I could never find a logo on that was not reported as not being available, so all in all I found 167 rabbits.

I have a question, was everyone asked to be testers of the site a couple of days early? I found some that didn't have their logos on so those are the ones that are considered not working. This was my first and I really did enjoy it.

BTW, there was some fabric that I wanted to go back and look at, it was on one of the sites that took me forever to find the logo. It was I guess called spiritual fabric and one of the samples had Bibles on it. If anyone runs across this site would you please send it to me at quilter at mountain-breeze dot com

I meant to add it to my favorite shops but it was one of the ones I had to go back to a couple of times and I have forgotten which one and also didn't save to my favorite shop list.

Thanks and if you are still hopping have fun,

How long does it take you to find 130 rabbits? I tried last time and only found about 60 or so. I just couldn't make myself spend that much time at the computer. Do you really ahvea chance of winning something? I thought mostly it would be like everything else, somebody else wins, LOL.

Sunny, I spent about 2 hours on it on Friday night and was so discouraged I almost quit. I had only found something like 10 rabbits. Ah, but through the night I thought, maybe I need to go back and read the directions better so I did on Saturday morning and low and behold it told me that most sites would have hints. So I started looking for hints and found the 130 shops in about 3 hours, but you all encouraged me to find them all and those are the ones that took me a while. I would say all in all I spent maybe 8 hours on it if that long. But then I was also checking email, reading this group and on a chat for diabetics all at the same time, plus I received several phone calls last night and worked on and printed the calendar for church. So it wasn't 8 hours dedicated to just hoppin' I made use of the time by doing other things too. I don't often have the time to sit down and do this type of thing either, but it just so happened that our renters didn't have enough money to pay all their rent this month and so his wife is going to clean my house tomorrow. So I didn't have to do that (I was really glad when she came and said she was short $100 bucks because I am not able to clean since I had that fall in Dec. 05 and we are having company from Wednesday until Sunday so I needed the house cleaned). Then I cook in big batches and freeze food, since it turned cold I was having homemade chili out of the freezer so I didn't have to cook either. Dad went with a friend on the mountain and for a change my sister's stayed home most of the weekend. So I had much more time than I normally do. I am just glad that I took my credit card and hid it before I started otherwise I would have probably bought more fabric than I could pay off in a month. I don't believe in carrying a balance unless it is an emergency. I had fun and yes I believe that everyone has a chance to win, but what is a different story. I have won several things in my life including a washer and dryer years ago. That's the biggest thing I have ever won but I was happy.

I often have time where I am responsible for Ash so I need something to do that I can walk away from at the drop of a hat, does not involve sharp or pointy objects, and that doesn't soak up so much of my attention that I miss things going on around me.

Searching for bunnies works perfectly. Unfortunately most of them are really easy to find so I get done with the list in just a few sessions at the computer.
