Finished is good. :)

Not too long ago I was on the hunt for more of a fabric I'd run out of

-- and I'd never had a printed selvedge, so it was a challenge. Then, a couple of evenings ago, I was trying to miter corners that weren't 90° -- I shouldn't have been doing that when I was so tired. ;)

At any rate, the project that included both of those "adventures" is finished. It's a table runner I made when I found an adorable pattern but didn't like the size of the blocks. I've posted photos (one of the whole, one detail) at . I hope you like it -- I really enjoyed making those blocks. :)

Is this the project with the troublesome pointy binding? Gee, I had it backwards, I thought the point was narrower than 90 degrees.... Well it turned out just great anyway! Mickie

I couldn't be prouder if I'd done it myself! Wow, Sandy. That's just gorgeous. I love everything about it and the binding/piping whatever is a knock-out. Atta girl. Polly

Fabulous Sandy! You're right that's a great pattern, and you did such a lovely job with it.

Thanks, Mickie. I think I probably told you it was narrower than 90° -- did I mention that I was too tired to have been trying to do that at all at that point? ;) I really appreciate your patience and help!

Love it! Actually, the idea of using Trip Around the World as a *block* rather than a whole quilt is, I think, a marvellous idea. And - I, too, like small!! Clever you! . In message , Sandy writes

Thanks, Pat. :) In all honesty, I hadn't even thought about it being Trip Around the World, but of course it is! LOL!

Thanks, Roberta. :) I think having everyone tell me that it was easy to do those corners (just the way I'd remembered from previous "unsquare" projects) was just what I needed to make me rethink how I was doing things. So, yes, the answers were *very* relevant. :)

Thanks, Heidi. :) That piping is really easy to do with Susan Cleveland's instructions and trimming tool, and you've probably guessed by now that I love feathered quilting. ;)

Lovely runner! Those feathers are so attractive that I am rethinking the design on a quilt I am doing for charity. I had planned to do a vine, leaf, and blossom motif but now I want to try some feathers. See how corrupting - ahem - inspiring this group is! :-)
