Well, I posted this question earlier this week, but got no response. Hoping that we have more readers since it is weekend AND Quilting Day, I'll ask again. Thank you for your patience.
Does anyone have information about any LQS in Macon or Peachtree City, Georgia? We will be driving between Those towns, so could go to shops along the route. Shop suggestions welcome!

Perhaps my recommendations can be a pay- back for your suggestions of Alaska quilt shops last summer. LOL
It's been a l-o-o-o-n-g time since I lived in either Macon or Peachtree City, and I wasn't into quilting in either place. So, don't take my word for gospel truth. In Macon, you can try Patchwork Station, not sure of the address but it is on Forsyth Avenue (or Street). Peachtree City is about midway between Newnan and Fayetteville (about 15 or 20 miles either way, I think. In Newnan there is Heritage Quilts; it is located on the Courthouse Square. In Fayetteville, there is Quilters Corner, no idea of that address.
Sitting in my living room, I have a 12- feet-long mahogany courtroom bench from the Fayette County Courthouse in Fayetteville; it is the oldest courthouse in Georgia. My DH took a prize-winning photo of old men playing checkers on the Courthouse Square in Newnan.
Enjoy your visits; I loved both Macon and Peachtree City (we became first time home owners there).
Thanks Elizabeth. This will be my first visit to Macon. I've been to PTC, and know it is lovely. Speaking of Alaska, I came across the state theme fabric I purchased there. I still need to make the Alaska quilt .... maybe for a Christmas gift. Did you make one? PAT in VA.USA
Not yet, although I do have several projects in mind. I purchased patterns for a Raven totem and symbols of British Columbia which will both involve a lot of appliqué. I have very little time for quilting since school is in session, and I really need to do a wedding quilt next --my daughter has just become engaged.
What do you have in mind for your Alaska quilt?

Elizabeth: Well, I bought state motifs fabric with the idea of making a Stack & Whack. I want to do the original version of stars. The LQS cutter advised me to the amount. Time .... just need to find time! I haven't officially made a S&W ... I do have a S&W Butterfly quilt UFO though. That one is not on the UFO list for guild this year. I will get around to it sooner or later, but the Alaska S&W is calling my name!
