Happy dancin' in the heatwave

Thanks Estelle! Yep this is all hand pieced - the templates hand drawn around and cut out with scissors, all pieces hand pinned and sewed, then sewed to joiners, then hand basted and quilted. I dare say if you had the experience (I don't) you could do it by machine. Never again. BTW the pattern will be in the post on Monday!

Yep smaller and simpler! I will forever know it as the Nightmare Quilt but the label says Wayne's Whirligigs. Boring but had a give true ownership.

Thanks you! The colours seem to match our room perfectly which is amazing since we hadn't built our bedroom area when DH picked the colours!

A slightly cooler heatwave here today Pat (just building up for next week with forecasts of 40C). Y'all have no idea how true the "Finished is good" statement really is. Thanks you!

Thanks you dear Polly, gee those gators can dance can't they? Specially that little lady over the way there...

Thanks Taria. The reason mine took years is because ever' so often I'd set it aside for a couple months (or more). DH and I have a love hate relationship with it - he loves it and I hate it!

Thanks Marilyn. I used to take the individual blocks everywhere. So easy to take along. Alas near the end she got too big and buxom to take anywhere except the recliner.

Do y'all need the pattern Roberta? Happy to send it over. Compared to some of these lasses I am the turtle to their hare. The prolific amount of quilts produced here never fails to amaze me - and delight!

DH graciously accepts your fabric compliments! he chose all the fabrics. It covers a queen size bed but I prolly would have made it one or two rows wider, on looking back.

Absolutely gorgous, Sharon. Funny, it doesn't look "nightmarish" at all. ;-) In fact, it's quite inviting, very snuggly. Many congrats!
