Hopefully they should work - if not the new photos are in the Shazza's Quilts album.

Phew! Now I can get to work on two single bed quilts for the DDs using the

7" squares I bought in Hawaii. Had a look at those yesterday - I thought there was about fifty maybe sixty squares - ooooh no - there looks closer to 100 or more! What a bargain!! And good quality too. Limited colours (navy/black/brown prints - not all on the one square!!) which should make a good quilt. An easy one this time though!!''

Yippeeeee It's over it's over!!

Thanks Mary! Golly gosh - I'm not sure whether I ended up hatin' it because it was so gosh darn big or because I just hated all the curves, or because the quilting design was repetitive. Either way it'll take me awhile before I can appreciate it!

Great work Sharon. It looks lovely. Okay, does that mean that I now have to finish the one I've been working on for our bed for nearly as long? :-)

Well done indeed, Sharon. It's a beautiful piece of work. I hope your DH realises! I expect he has an inkling of how much effort went into it >g< You will feel strange without that quilt behind you all the time, nagging you to get it finished >g< Good for you. And it is very pretty too. . In message , Sharon Harper writes

Fantastic Sharon! What a job is has been. Seriously though, will it have another 'nicer' name than Nightmare Quilt? You will really enjoy the girl's quilts - smaller projects! Hugs Bronnie

What a wonderful, wonderful quilt. Congratulations. I'll run out to the back fence and wake the gators. This big event calls for really raucous happy dancing. And a-one and a-two. Yippee for you. Polly

What a great quilt Sharon. You did a great job. Finished is a good thing. WooHoo! A quilt that takes years is a huge accomplishment.

I keep telling dh I can't wait until I am griping about heat instead of cold so I guess I envy you of your heat.

Good job! Must feel wonderful to know it's finally done! I have one similar, (no curves in my stars) that I started English paper piecing years ago. I have about 3/4 of the stars put together but only about

1/8th of the stars joined together. This was my take along project for quite awhile, till I lost a plastic container with at least a dozen completed stars and a bunch basted onto paper. Now that I've seen yours, I've go the urge to dig mine out again. Have fun moving on to something new!

What a beauty! And it only took 4 years! IMO you are one speedy quilter. After all, I remember looking at that design when you started, thinking I'd like to do it, and I haven't cut a single piece. Roberta in D

Thanks Heidi! The nightmare was that about 1/3 of the way into making each piece, I began to hate it. When I discovered I'd managed to flip a template - it began to be a nightmare. So glad I've woken up!

Thanks for the compliments - DH certainly realises how much went into it - he was one of the "driving factors" that kept me going. Every so often he'd give me a nudge. Actually the last 2 weeks have been one large quilting fest. I unfolded it about 4 days ago to see how much was left and got a huge surprise - just one little patch. I hadn't realised just how hard I'd been going at it.
