Both gorgeous! Love those scrappy reds, and love the secondary designs that appear in Celebrations. And congratulations on finding time! I surely haven't managed much sewing these past few days. Roberta in D, Queen of the Scrap Heap

I don't put much effort into naming my quilts; most of the labels simply have the name of the pattern. Once in a while, a quilt seems to want a more specific name, such as the "Land of Sky Blue Waters" quilt I gave my DB & DSIL (near the bottom of )

The plaids and the orangey shades interspersed "make" Paint the Town Red for me!

The more I look at your Celebration quilt, the more I think I should finish mine. . . . semi-soon.

Thanks, Roberta. I decided I better find time for me to maintain what sanity I have left. :)

The reds was a fun swap. I'm hoping to get Celebration quilted before another year passes.

I've already told you how much I like your Celebration quilt, Mary, but I also like your Paint the Town Red quilt! You picked just the right red for the border to set off the others. :)

I'm like you Julia. I just don't see the need to give a new exciting name to a one or two block quilt. If I used a single quilt pattern for an entire applique quilt I'd use the pattern name as well. But if I use several different applique block patterns from several designers I really would rather name the quilt rather than list every individual block pattern name on the label. Celebration is awesome! And then I couldn't get the other picture to come up because WebShots is figuratively underwater tonight. I'll try again later. Debra in VA See my quilts at

Thanks, Sandy. I was worried about the border but was pleased with the results.
