Great tops Mary - I'm a big fan of red - must do one some day, along with a purple one, and a turquoise and brown one, and, and, and :-) If only we had eight hands so we could get more done.

Yummy! I love the reds and the Carol Doak one looks so elegant on black- excellent way to set off the colors. Good job!

Thanks, Sharon. The reds was a fun swap. I would have had to spend a fortune to get that many reds to make the quilt without the swap. I would love to do one in pinks and purples in the red family for my youngest granddaughter's "big girl" quilt.

The Celebration top is a beauty - each block looks so different, with the colour placement. Lovely! I could happily live with it ? . In message , maryd writes

The purpose of naming quilts has thus far escaped me. I've always thought it was rather like naming lampshades - just never saw the need - but you certainly have nailed these two. Paint the Town Red does indeed and Celebration is too. What gorgeous quilts. I love them both Mary. It may be a while before we can Happy Dance for you though, Mississippi is mighty muddy just now. You'll be 'first up' when we dry out a bit. Congratulations, Polly

Thank you, Pat. That was fun to pick fabrics and see the differences in each block.

Thanks, Polly. I don't understand naming quilts either except it makes it simpler when putting pictures in webshots. Celebration is the name of the block on that one. It's muddy here as well that's why I was tapping my toes. LOL

They have to be named if they are entered in a show! I have been very lucky in that my DH is a dab hand at naming! Even if he doesn't get THE name at the first attempt, the subsequent discussion between us always results in a suitable, occasionally, brilliant name >g< . In message , Polly Esther writes

My first attempt at a subtle 'beg' was obviously so very subtle that it hasn't been seen yet. What a hoot >ggg< . In message , maryd writes
