Healing prayers requested,please

Well, we saw the ENT again today and he felt her nose (not that you couldn't SEE the problem). Apparently the break is right where the nasal bones meet the cheekbones...well..kind of. If you run you fingers down either side of the nose, it's right where the harder cartilege ends and the soft starts.

It is flattened in on the right side and is sticking up/out on the left side. She will be having surgery on Monday morning, time to be determined by Thursday - when outpatient scheduling calls me. We are hoping to get on the tour that they have for children so they can see the xrays, dress in scrubs, see the OR and the recovery area, then there's a question/answer period with refreshments. We were hoping that she could get in for her shadow boxing - she hasn't been sparring or anything yet. After the surgery, she will more than likely have a splint on her nose for a few days and has a follow up on the 16th. After her surgery, she will not be able to do any activities like boxing, gym class, etc. until after her follow up visit.

She is nervous because she thinks she might have to have a needle, but they have been telling her that it's just gas and she even gets to choose what flavor she gets...right now she's saying apple, but she also thinks she might like strawberry...lol.

So, she's nervous and I'm stressed. Ken is also home sick and Thomas is acting up because he doesn't think it's fair that Bek gets a break from everything.

So please...whatever you do or whatever you can send our way will be greatly appreciated and definitely helpful.

AKK! Look what happens when I take my eye off you for a few days!

Dearie me - poor poppet! Gentle hugs and stress-reducing healing vibes rolling in at you from Over Here. Keep us posted when you get the chance.

My dad had a steel plate in the bridge of his nose to stop it colapsing under his oxygen mask when flying as he'd had it busted for him several times when playing rugby. It made metal detector things at airports go bonkers!

Although I didn't comment on your initial post about your daughter's broken nose, I was so hoping that it would not require any further attention. So sorry she has to have surgery to fix it. I'll be thinking positive thoughts.
