I think you exercised remarkable restraint. I would have grabbed my scissors back and stabbed him right in the whatsit. (Scissors ruined anyway.) Roberta in D

That is just way to organized. You mean you sit down and think it out? I just dive in headlong and madly hunt.

Roberta, that was the first thing I thought of, too! ME-Judy

I seem to spend more time looking for things than I do sewing. I can sit down with something in my hand, and then it just vanishes, and I spend forever searching for it. When I find it something else has disappeared, consequently I do very little sewing!

Its always the vital things that hide too - scissors, pins, fabric, glasses, and books have perfected the art!

Anita, that is where I THOUGHT I had put them.

MY DH ALWAYS says that. And seems to think it's orginal every time he does! LOL KJ

What *always* disappears just when I need it, on my table is my stitch ripper. Grrrr. Not so long ago, I saw a wonderful birthday card (which I bought!).: cartoon picture of oldish man rootling through a drawer, elderly woman standing behind. Caption: Have you seen my looking for my glasses glasses? . In message , Sally Swindells writes

Boy Sally, You don't know how happy I am to hear you say that. I thought I was the only one that happens to. Once I get moved things should get better.

the trick is not to turn round or look away from your stuff as one moment is enough for the little blighters to wander off

Dear GrammyKathy, I don't know how to tell you this except to just come right out with it. You have "wall elves". There is no way to get rid of them. They are known to take things from that "safe place", and put them in the most bizzare places. Sometimes you can locate their hiding places ( shed, fridge, etc. ), but mostly they just quietly put them back after you've searched so you can find them when you're looking for something else. My home has been infested for years, and you have my sympathy. Darlene in Pa
