I won two ribbons!!

Hi All! I hosted and participated in my guild's quilt challenge for our quilt show in February. I could participate but I couldn't actually vote because I knew who all the participants were. My helpers took care of all the vote tallying so I was not involved and had no idea of the outcome until it was announced. Well, as it turned out I won two ribbons. I got 1st place for applique quilts and Viewer's Choice among all categories. I'm very tickled as they were all so lovely!

Check out the night's pictures below:

The quilts were part of a 2 color challenge. They had to be red and use a second color (either white or beige/ivory but not both). There were other rules but that's the main of it.

Thanks for looking!!! Melissa in NJ

How wonderful, Melissa. What beautiful quilts and how grand to win two ribbons. We are just so proud of you. How I envy your having such a lovely guild. Prospects of teaching the gators to quilt are not real good but they are delighted to happy dance with you. Congratulations! Polly

Congratulations - beautiful work.

I am planning a black and white quilt for my daughter with the Ace, King, Queen, Jack symbols on one side and the Peace sign on the other. Her request - my challenge as I am not good at appliqué but I will give it a try.

Awesome quilt, Melissa, I love it! I just have to ask though. Why does your album say Feb. 9, 2007?? What time zone do you live it?

LOL! I should have mentioned that mine is the one with the two birds in the middle. :) And I also corrected the album title. No idea why I set it to February!!!!!

Thank you all for the kind words and for viewing the album!!
