Howdy!

It is odd, isn't it, Michelle? Husband's cousin kept sending me jokes, scads of them, via e-mail; kept it up for several weeks, even tho' I'd asked him to stop (I got tired of cleaning out the mailbox every day to get to the good stuff). Mostly he sent religious & political stuff, including lots of Catholic jokes (he's Catholic, & our politics do not match ). He just kept sending them. Until I sent them back, 7 times each. Offered to return them " 70 times 7" - which he had heard of. He asked me why I was doing this- "you're sending me the same ol' jokes I already sent you! And I'm on dial-up, long distance: this is costing me money to receive my own jokes!" I said, "BINGO!" He got it, but didn't think it was funny; he did stop sending the junk, tho'.

Like DUH! LOL! ;-) It's a shame he didn't get it when you just asked him nicely.

I'm lucky that I'm able to create a filter to dump fwds into a separate folder from my regular email. Then when I'm in the mood for a joke, I can go read them. In the meantime, my main inbox stays clear for regular correspondence.

so i wont forward the joke i just got from Polly. unless you already got it. it has one pix in it. j.

"Taria" wrote... DD gives three strikes before she will block your email for junk. G'pa wouldn't listen and she blocked him years ago. I felt kind of bad about that but she is adament. I like to get forwarded junk from him because I know he is alive and probably well if he is at his computer. The stuff is easy to delete and his religion and politics are pretty much mine so that helps on the occasion I read them. I don't get why folks can't just kindly leave folks off their forwarding list when they are asked to. Pretty rotten. Taria
