Just saying Hi

Hi eveyone,

I'm slo-w-l-y getting getting my energy back and so thought I would take a minute to post a hello. I've been reading the posts about once a week, you guys are all so busy!!! I enjoy reading what you all have been doing, especially seeing the quilts when links are posted. Prayers and good thoughts have gone out to those who need them, too.

The daily radiation treatments are now - thankfully - over!! But lymphademia issues in my hand continue to make typing or writing for long spells painful (but the surgeon tells me this should get better now that the radiation is done). It's a blessing to finally be on 'the other side' of this journry and seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

I'm slowly putting together a baby quilt for a friend's DIL who is due with her first baby in December. It will be a combination of in-the-hoop embroidery done on my embroidery machine and regular patchwork. I have this idea of FMQing feathers all over it...so I just got Patsy Thompson's "Free Motion Fun With Feathers" DVD, something I've wanted for a while (I have two other DVDs of hers). We'll see how far I get with this LOL

Take care, everyone. Blessings, Irene

So good to hear from you Irene. Hopefully the worst is now behind you. I'm sorry about the hand/arm swelling. Let's hope the doctor is correct and it dies down. Take care, and keep only just busy enough!! . In message , IMS writes

So good to see you Irene. It is wonderful news that the radiation treatments are now complete. I hope the residual effects banish themselves ASAP!

Can't wait to see the baby quilt when you are finished. Your ideas for it are quite inspiring. :-)

Best regards, Michelle in Nevada
