Logarithmic Spiral Quilt finished from Pat's book - pix

Mar 19, 2008 3 Replies

I have completed my first wall hanging from Pat's book, Geometric Quilts. It was great fun and not so scary once I started . As an design experiment, I used 2 fine wool challis pinks for the background which gives a richness in colour and texture against the cotton batiks and Japanese fabrics of the spiral. I might just use that technique more often. Note to self: iron-on pellon does not adhere to wool. It's dedicated to Pat! Thanks Pat!

cheers Bronnie, nursing a head cold....

Thanks ever so much Bronnie. It's beautiful - the wool gives such a different texture as a background. It is really exciting to see the difference a setting can make. It looks so oriental. Another picture to treasure. It's a marvellous feeling. . In message , Bronnie writes
