Looking for wonky hearts quilt picture

Someone posted a link to a quilt with applique heart blocks, and all the blocks were made a little wonky. Anyone have a link to that quilt? Debra in VA See my quilts at

Here's the one I've been enjoying. They're really not wonky but they are a riot. I needed to make a big, Big quilt and every block in this one was fun to put together. Polly

It's lovely - do you have a link to the pattern? Or is this a Miz Polly original?

Oh goodness, no, this quilt is not my original. How proud I would be if it were. It's Heart Strings from QNM Jan/Feb 05 and they are

I can not talk me into a quilt that demands much in the way of repetition; this beauty doesn't ever repeat. Even the hearts only have to be vaguely in the red family wandering off into purple, orange, and pink. Polly

As MEH says - all reds go together as long as you include a dash of purple!

Not the one I was looking for but it sure is a riot of color and looks like every block is unique. I can see myself being happy making a similar quilt. I did get a little side tracked looking at several of QNM's other online patterns. Debra in VA See my quilts at

Careful there, Debra. When QNM says a quilt is easy, the translation of that word means that it may be possible to make the quilt. Their other skill levels should be something like "impossible" and "requires 10 or 12 gruesome years of serious stitching". Speaking for myself, of course. YMMV Polly

Mary Ellen Hopkins........a real hoot of a speaker!!!! If you ever get a chance to hear her.....don't miss it. She wrote "It's Okay if you Sit on my Quilt". She's all about making it easy...it's not rocket science!!!

Sorry, Val. Here's a towel for your monitor. :-) I didn't realize anyone would think it was *that* funny.

Well some of you got it!

Yes - Mary Ellen Hopkins, absolutely my quilting goddess! She is an real hoot to listen to. She had to skip tour to OZ a few years ago because she was laid up with a broken leg (or ankle?) - she had pinched her grandson's skateboard for a test ride and fallen off! I tiny little grey haired lady who lives life at 100mph!

She has a number of quotes that are well know to her fans. Another is "Who cares? Pick a number and get on with your life!" And "I really liked the look of this (block) so I made lots . . . and lots . . . . . and lots. Never know when they might come in handy."

If she is still touring and you get the chance - go see her!
