Platelet count is over 100 now YAY! And he went back on the Coumadin too soon.thus the headaches. So he's off it for now. Has another count done on Mon and see where we go from there. Right now is when the platelets are re-forming themselves. Dr said to expect him to be tired and naps were the answer. So he naps twice a day....and sleeps in a bit later than ever ; ) We have to be "Mother Hens" for this next week and then wait for the Dr C check-up on Jan 12.

Butterfly (at least he is eating a bit more and a bit more often)

So happy you've given us an update on Joe and so grateful for good news. Help us, here, B'fly. I don't understand the Mother Hen procedure. Are you going to be setting on a nest and cackling a lot or what? Polly

So glad that things are better. Prayers are still on their way for both of you! Barbara in FL

Thanks for the update - I know there are a lot of us here praying and holding good thoughts!

We have to MAKE SURE he is resting and not pushing it. This is not the time for: I have to do ONE MORE THING. It's I want to-will you do it for me- instead. His body needs more rest than ever. No, not to where he doesn't move, but if he is moving and starts feeling tired he MUST SIT DOWN. And that is where the Mother Hen comes in. We need to keep an ear out for his 'heavier than normal breathing'..........as he's a doer not a sitter........and he's about tired of the sitter part.

Hope that helps 'splain it a bit better

Butterfly (Thinking Mrs Santa is hitting the Half-Off book store tomorrow..... I'll just ask his Sis to call right after DS and I get out the door ; )

Bake BAKE? B A K E ? I KNEW I forgot something. No cookies, breakfast muffins, or Mr Joe's Fruitcake

Butterfly (and I have 2 HUG rows left to sew together, a tree that needs supervising (or so they say), one gift to purchase, and one other gift to at least get a start on)

I'm telling him of his cheering team

Butterfly (It always makes him smile--so thank you from Mr. Joe)

Thank you. They are appreciated

Butterfly (He still is asleep)

Thank you, we are too.

Butterfly (Found another BT for you, but now they'll have to wait until I finish the Christmas baking, to see if there are any more hiding out)

Thank you.

Butterfly (He asked if it was time to get up...told him I had to but he didn't. He went back to sleep ; ) YAY!)
