Mum's gone

I'm so sorry to hear of your mom's passing, Kate. My sincere condolences and sympathy. I can so relate to feeling 'rudderless' - that describes it so well. Thankfully your mom (and mine) went quickly...in many ways, that is a blessing. A gift from God, now an angel in heaven....

Thank you.

The timing is, unfortunately, typical of our family. Nothing to do about it but carry on...

As my FiL said this after noon: best way to go, and what we all hope for.

Thanks. I'm ok... Just wish I could be there with my bro, who found her.

Thank you.

She and I are very alike: easily irritated, quick to forgive and forget, allergic to grudges.

Lost my cousin on this date a few years back. He died trying to save his wife who had a coronary too. Both went together. So sad.

I am so sorry, Kate. Your description is so true. I lost my mom when I was 19, and it doesn't matter how old you are, you *do* feel rudderless.

Thank you.

At the moment, it makes the whole process more awkward rather than anything else...
