Good gracious. I just don't think that room looks like much fun. A golden retriever and a trio of kitties would help. Maybe stir in some M & Ms and an empty pizza box? A stack of stuff to be mailed, a few unpaid bills and a basket of socks to be matched? I am organized and I am tidy. It's a very rare event when I can't lay my old hands on any of the hundreds of important things in my sewing room but that studio is just too cold to me. How can it seem cold to me when there's so much sun pouring in? I don't know. And what will all that sun do to the fabric and quilts? Come quilt with me. My room's a lot more fun. Please arrive before dark. Gators, you know. Polly

Polly, you could always sneak one of your gators into her pool. Give her something to watch from her studio window!!

That studio looks enormous - probably the size of my entire ground floor! I'm dreaming of the day when DS2 (aged 21/2 yrs) actually sleeps through the night and can share a room with his brother. I will then get a quilting room 9' by 7' and I already know it won't be that tidy - ever!

My favorite studio is mine! It might even be as big as hers. Hard to tell from photos, but I have about 1/2 of the east side of the basement.

Mine's not that tidy right now though.

I love the windows... looking outside... I'd have lots of hummingbird feeders and bird feeders.

I'd love the HUGE design wall... and all that space!

I agree it looks a bit sterile -- but if it were mine -- I'd guarantee it would look much more "lived in"!!

Wow! Wouldn't I love a studio like that -- one that didn't face west, too. ;)

Polly,

You painted a great picture of a wonderful quilting room with your words. Can I come over and sew with you?

I do not like a sewing room too clean or too cluttered. Mine can get too cluttered but does take long to clean it up. I hope to get in there this afternoon and sew for a while. Yard work is caught up and the house is clean so I can play.

I still want to make some hummingbird food to hang out and have fed the frogs in the water feature and the toad and walked the girls so everyone is taken care of.

Peace and have a good day,

Her design wall looks to die for! The pictures were probably taken after the maids visit. :>) I was fortunate to take one of her classes when she was in Atlanta. She brought her own Bernina 1230 from her studio along with some other good stuff. A good time was had by all as we ripped, cut, tore, sewed, and anything else that can be done with fabric. Some of us had more on the floor than the design wall. Liz Anne

By the time I'm finished with a quilt, my sewing room is a mess! Oh, but then the vacuum, n putting away all those extra peices of fabric and scraps.....only to start all over again! I like starting each quilt with at least a floor I can see. :)
