Thank you, everyone, for the suggestions. In the past I have made the neutral log cabin for this style bride but that takes forever (might have something to do with the skinny logs I used) I just wasn't in the mood for another log cabin.

I have been wanted to try a pattern from Blue Underground Studios

Look at Sample # 5 and Sample #10. Today I am thinking of Sample #10 called "In and Out". I actually own the pattern. I have seen the quilt made in several different fabrics. The graphic results fit the urban style. The pieces are a little smaller than the big block look of Crate and Barrel. Don't have to decide until next week. Class samples always come first.

Howdy!

Thanks for the website, Susan. I see a couple of Must-Make quilts there; the use of fabrics in such simple patterns really turns me on.

Cheers! R/Sandy

Depending on fabrics, lots of traditional patterns could fit the bill too. Irish Chain and Rail Fence come to mind. Or you could do something in YBR. I think if you us TOT and maybe very small prints in the right colors it would suit the bride just fine.
