I am, one by one, finishing up UFOs. The butterfly quilt would be done but it still calls for a bit of tying. (Tying doesn't look right but neither does tieing.) I am thinking about using ordinary cotton embroidery floss. Also thought about quarrelsome but lovely rayon floss, perle, crochet or maybe skinny ribbon. This quilt will get a lot of wear and washing. Have any of you been out wandering in what's new or, better yet, what's pretty and sturdy in the yarn market lately? Any do's or don'ts seriously appreciated, Polly

How about bar tacking by machine then add ribbon tied in a bow titched in place like a button? Or tying from the reverse side, with the tie loops on the back as was done with Crazy Quilts of old?
appreciated,
Mauvice, that is about what I was thinking - except I was going to bar tack down the tiny bows - unless one of our yarn people had a better idea. Polly
