new photos

Hi All, I just uploaded two photos of my first Stack and Whack quilt. I was taking a class, needed 12 repeats. I did not want to spend a lot of money on something that I might mess up or hate so I bought this sale fabric, very odd ball stuff "blue eyed skulls". I have finished it! People in the picture are my Friday Bunch (we do charity quilts), Mary, Jane, and Jean, Julia was on sick leave. ;~)

I'm working on a Dresden plate S&W now, I might like it, it's pink/yellow/green. I think that I might like to do the Dresden plate in '30s fabric some day.

Great quilt! And great fabric choice. Stack'n'whack is a fun technique

-- each block turns out so different.

Bonnie, that's a great quilt. I think the fabric is awesome. Sometimes those wild fabrics turn out to be incredible when made up.

Great quilt!!! I like how you used the some of the SnW fabric in the borders! Look out, tho! It's an addiction & you'll never look at fabric in the same way again! Can't wait to see a pic of the Dresden plate quilt.

Thank you.

The Dresden plate instructor recommended that the original fabric be used in the border so that others could see what that fabric looked like, the blocks are so different. Of course that is what I did in the first quilt.
