I also have the Horn and love it---and yes it makes a great difference to be center of needle position KJ, do you use the piece that goes on the open drawer when quilting? I love that extra space. Gen

Yes. The same table where we eat our big meals, in the dining room. It's an older table, at least 75 yrs. old, w/ leaves that pull out from each end. It's my favorite place to sew, w/ the option of sitting where I please regarding needle position. ;-)

I do put that on most of the time when I'm working on something larger. But I still get hung up on the front of the table more than I would if the machine were set back further. There's not much room to puddle the quilt in front of the machine. I looked at it again today and if I order a new insert, I might get three more inches in front....and I think that would be nice. When I ordered the table, I did ask for the furthest set back possible, but I imagine that got lost in the translation and they just pulled out the template for my machine and cut it. It's difficult for some people to think outside the box. I do seem to need something out of the top drawer everytime I use the extra piece.

I have a Koala table and the "sitting at center needle" position makes a BIG difference in my opinion. I love it!

My table is made in Germany, and they probably don't ship outside Europe -also paid for it in euros. Roberta in D

It makes a terrific difference. Your accuracy is a lot better and you will not be twisting your neck/upper body to see what you are doing when you have a table where you are centered on the needle instead of being centered on the machine. One reason I will not even think about buying a lot of the available tables. They are not designed by people who actually use the machines. They *look* great, but are not ergonomic at all.
