Quick, Judy! Get the ironing part done before midnight! Ironing for the whole of 2008??? (Frantically fanning myself!)

My Mom used to say that what we did on NYD, we were destined (doomed?) to do for the rest of the year. With that in mind, I am planning my day tomorrow. First, of all, I will do some piecing while DH watches football. I will probably go to the Y to work out. I will not be doing any laundry or cleaning of any kind! And maybe if I am lucky, DH will cook dinner. Oh and I have promised myself that there will be no lesson planning or school work of any kind!!! But I will check the posts on rctq and listen to a book on my ipod! Maybe if I work on the newest commissioned t-shirt quilt, I will have more business in 2008. Can't hurt but the first step involves pressing. Do I really want to stand over an iron for long periods in 2008? Hmmmm..... need to think about that!

It's a little late for this year, but next time talk to NightMist. She seems to have a particular talent when it comes to checks- at least receiving checks. I'm still just tickled pink for her- what a great way to welcome Christmas and the holiday season!

Somehow, I've never managed to spend New Year's Day cashing checks.... :)

I've thought of her story several times over the past few days and it always brings a smile to my face.

My family had that same superstition. Today I did some planning for my next quilt - one for me this time. I also began organising the 800 pics I took on our holiday to New Zealand and Tasmania - no-one has seen them yet. AND I've had time to watch MASH the movie and check in on the ng. I'd say this year is going to be a good one if today is anything to go by

Have a good New aYear and stay safe

Did some quilting this morning, some knitting while listening to the New Year's concert on TV, and now the ng. So it should be a satisfactory year. Did all the laundry yesterday plus a bit of cleaning (really necessary after most of our guests left), so that's OK! Roberta in D
