I would like to invite any of you midwesterners to come on out to Charleston IL in Oct. The 9th and 10th to be exact. Rockome Gardens, a unique and interesting place to visit in the middle of the IL Amish community, is having a quilt show of mostly local quilters. I've hosted a weekly quilting get together every Friday for years and we'd start your visit with quilting andor show n tell, then go on up to Rockome, next door to Arcola IL, for the show and shopping. There will be vendors at the show, and then on Sat we can travel a little further to Arthur IL where there is a wonderful quilt shop to visit with extremely reasonable prices (lower than average but the same top quality as other QS's) and Beechie's grocery, which has the most interesting inventory of Amish made goods of every kind, fresh, dried, frozen etc. Please feel free to contact me if you think you'd like to come. Between me and my quilting buddies, we can offer guest rooms to a limited number in our homes.
