OT Christmas cards

I love Christmas cards. I DO Christmas cards. But, the pure truth is, I'm not likely to wallpaper the foyer with them or some other clever crafty notion and I've saved them for many years. It seems to me that some noble charity likes to receive the fronts of cards for one of their fundraising projects. I'm willing to sort and mail them - do any of you know what group can put them to good use? Polly

Hi Polly, Here is a link to the only organization I know of that uses Christmas cards for their project. Hope this helps.

I did a search for "donate used Christmas cards" and got a ton of hits. Y ou will have your choice of where they would best be used and the charity y ou prefer to support. HTH

St. Judes is who I was thinking of. I did search 'donate' and find that St Judes can't accept Hallmark, Disney or American Greetings. Bummer. I understand the need for protecting copyrights but wouldn't you think they could lighten up a little? Polly

Polly, a few years ago when my aunt was in a nursing home, another lady who lived then accepted the fronts of almost any kind of card (birthday, Christmas, Easter.) She made post cards from them and had a stamp for the back to divide it for the message and address. She used some for herself and sold others to friends and family members. For a short while I did something similar for a couple of years using a ball point pen to divide the card for the message & address. Barbara in FL

Funny you should ask. Karen, Queen of Squishes is looking for them. It has something to do with St. Judes. She only wants the front part of them. Went through mine last night and I will be mailing mine either today or tomorrow.
