There's a thing called a neti pot, which basically does this. It works quite well.

I'm thinking your nose issues/allergies have way more to do with the cleaning of the rental house than having a virus. Yuck.

howdy, jenn, ltns. nope, all i did was some painting on outside of windows and pruned out completely one huge bush. that was two weeks before this hit me. it gave me one horridible day and day two was a massive improvement. by day three t'were nearly gone completely. extremely weird. oh well. did you get my reply on msg'r? only opened it yesterday after about two months off it. cant really splain what the heck is going on but i'll get thru whatever it is eventually. cant really tell ya much more than that cuz i dont understand it either. hugz, jeanne

Hm, weird. Well, I'm four days into the routine of having at least 4 bloody noses per day...so....blech.

Don't worry about it. I'm having a time like that too. I don't really want to be around people too much, and don't feel I have much worth contributing at right now either. I'm sure we'll both come around. I have an inkling what it might be, but we'll have to talk....how about a cuppa?

ya might not recognize me tho. i cut off my hair yesterday. its the shortest its been since '74. i cut off another foot after cutting it from bum to boobs last year. it now just barely brushes my shoulders. thats a weird day. on yahoo now, fwiw. jeanne

Jenn - please increase your Vitamin C intake to at least 1000 mg/day, either time release type, or chewables spread throughout the day. I get nosebleeds when I don't get enough!! Hopefully this will help you too.

OMG, I've been taking twice that for a couple weeks already. My normal dose since October has been 1,000 to 2,500 mg/day. Doc says it's just cuz allergies are super bad this year, and using saline spray along with my regular allergy meds are helping a lot.

Sorry i wasn't around to chat. Haven't been much...just trying to catch up still. Also, i have to head out of town for the weekend/early part of next week. It'll be the last chance I get to see my brother before he heads off to prison next month for three years.

why i cut off my hair i've no idea. it really does just barely reach my shoulders now tho. really weird after having long hair for decades....last time it was 'short' in '63. had it layered in '74, tho long then. then i just trimmed it every yr a couple of inches each yr. so it got longer slowly. about what was it two or three yrs or so ago, i trimmed more than usual in mid-yr, then forgot i'd done that and cut about 8 inches off just before xmas. oops. then last yr i cut it from bum to boobs...that was a big cut. then the other day i was having trouble after washing it getting all the knots out so just grabbed the scissors and had at it. now i dont know who it staring back at me in the mirror. i dont mean cuz of the short hair either. who is that woman??? if i dont recognize her how on earth could you. i was a blond long ago, going white over the mousey effect now but thats not the problem. the colour and/or length of the hair is not an issue. i just dont know 'who' she is.
