You aren't gonna believe how great they turned out. Thank you all for your suggestions. I actually took them! I went this morning and bought eyelet and ummmm (lost my brain cells) well, you'll see, the burgundy round stuff. I love them and I am sure my DDIL will too!

Very nice! I hope you prewashed the burgundy piping to check for fading and to preshrink it. If not, don't stress out over it, but better remind her to toss in a color catcher when she washes them (and maybe include a box of them when you give her the pillow cases)
