My wonderful afghan arrived today! We spent the day over at our house, DH cleaning out the refrigerator while I sat and supervised, (My dr. is back in town, so I saw him yesterday and he said the pneumonia is mostly gone, but I should figure on 6-8 months convalescence - oh well, just gotta behave myself) and when we got back to our friends' house, there was a package!!

It is just BEE-YOO-tiful, although how could it be otherwise, made with such love? I am sitting here typing, with it round my shoulders, wrapped in warmth, love and friendship.

I have a final update to send to you all, but my server still will not let me post it!

Oh, it is so good to hear from you! I hope that you are on the mend after your horrendous experience. Please know that I am continuing to hold you in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm glad to hear you are feeling better. I had a horrid case of pnuemonia last year and it does take a while to recouperate, so please be careful not to overdo.....I'm glad the blankie arrived safely. We send our love and lots of good wishes and thoughts with it! Marie and the cats

Olwyn, I could not open your e mail but was able to read it via Katherine's post and she has said it all, I just wish nothing but the best for you and you are in our prayers God bless Gwen

It is so lovely to know you are getting better, prayers and hugs Cher in the UK

Have a speedy recovery!

Wish you, your family and your friends all the best!

Hugs,

Anna Maria

Mary, enjoy the afghan - I sure think you can use all the 'comfort' that it gives you. It does sound like things are getting a little better for you.

Prayers are with you,

I am so happy to hear that you are feeling better. Do follow your doctor's orders though and take it easy to recouperate properly. Wrapping yourself in your comfort/friendshipghan will help you to feel all the love that has been (and is still being) sent to you.

Thank goodness that you are now staying with *good* friends, rather than the oddball who threw you both out because things weren't going her way... with friends like her, you certainly don't need enemies! I'm glad that you are in good hands and with good friends now. Take care, and feel better every day! :o)

Peace! Gemini

It's good to hear you are recovering, albeit slowly. Just keep the afghan handy for your resting periods and remember it was made with love. I hope it won't be long before you can move back home.

I'm glad it is keeping you warm as a reminder of your friends here.

and thank YOU Nora and DH for putting this together and sending it from us all. Cheers...Cher

I'm so glad that you're happy with your afghan Olwyn Mary, it was made with love and concern for you and your family . I'm so glad to hear that you're feeling better, please take care of yourself so you can get quite well Love Christine

Hello! I am glad you like it. And I believe Auntie Nora feels the same. And I must admit she has been such an inspiration to me. I mean...She and I...we do not live at the same time zone, but it does not mean a thing. She is an inspiration to me, just like those many patterns I have here. I can always pick a pattern, choose a yarn or yarns (if I make my knitting with 2 strands but I handle them as 1) and knit away. Best: Pirjo
