Would you believe...

that someone stole my beautiful perpetual journal which I had out as a sample! I think that really sucks! I had a few things in there that will be almost impossible to replace and all that work... They also lifted one of the pages from my 12x12 album! Go figure! I'd actually taken the journal home every night to be on the safe side. From what I can see, it was stolen in the last hour or so of the show. I cried I was so upset! At least I still have the pictures on webshots

That stinks, it was such a great journal. I'm sorry it happened to you. Why can't people leave things alone that don't belong to them?

I'm sorry someone did this to you MC, the journal was beautiful. Sometimes I think we should do the same thing they do in other countries and just cut off the hands of thieves.

That made me laugh and wince all at the same time! It is my belief that the person who took it will never really enjoy it and all I can say is that she better not show it to anyone who was at the show who will know it was stolen! Who knows, she might even send it back... OK I'm naive, but always hopeful!

Thanks, it really bummed me out. Hopefully the person who took it will have a change of heart... yeah right...

I am so sorry! People are so awful sometimes! I'm always amazed when the local Archivers says someone took a premade card from there. Why do people do things like that? I mean, geez, who raised them? Kathy

I actually didn't think of that! If anyone sees it there or anywhere else, please let me know! I'll bid till I get it and then have the person arrested!

You do have to wonder and the odds are that it was an adult! I sure hope whoever it is doesn't have children! Imagine what the kids are learning!!! What upsets me is that I was so careful too!

I'm so sad someone stole your piece of art! I think I may keep an eye out on ebay too! It always amazes me that people steal things. The thought just never occurs to me.

Lynne

I am so sorry MC. The journal was beautiful. I really don't understand what people are thinking. Looking on Ebay or maybe a few of the craft websites is a great idea. I will be scoping the journals out for ya. Many Hugs!!!

Otherwise, how did the show go??? How did you knees hold up?

The show was great and while I was in some pain throughout, it helped that I was sitting at the make N take table for most of the open hours! We recruited 15 which we shared equally between the three of us, so that was great! Next time I need 2-3 of my downline to work the show with me. This time I had one so 10 of the new recruits are in my downline, and all 15 are in my upline Krystals!

Unbelievable!! I am so sorry someone would steal it, and your 12x12's!!! I am stunned! I can't imagine even thinking of doing something like that. And you are right, that person will never really enjoy it, they'll always have that "pang" of it being stolen.

BIG HUGS

I am so sorry to hear that happened to you. Considering the peple there were scrapbookers, I would assume that all would be respectful of work.

I had been warned by the owner of the new LSS that opened near here that people were stealing samples. She held a contest and had to take the samples down for fear they would be stolen. When I told the two ladies that were working the booth about being careful they kind looked at me like I had two heads. I guess they believe me now though. That's what sucks, I'd pretty much kept my eye on things and even brought my samples back to the condo I was staying in at night. Lisa and I both saw the journal there, just shortly before the show closed.

OH M-C I am so sorry that someone had the guts to steal your piece of art. What is wrong with people?!!! That is really LOW...I would think that as fellow crafters they would have more respect for anothers' work. I wouldn't keep your hopes up that it will be returned. I am glad you had a good time and were successful at the show!

Linda

That's terrible. All that work you put into it. You wouldn't think that it would happen there.

There are some very low people out there... my mother used to sell jewellery and pressed flowers and stuff at craft markets and one of the reasons she stopped was that every month at least one of her lovingly-made items would grow legs and walk away, no matter how carefully we supervised the stall. In the end she decided to cut her losses and gave it up...

Sorry to hear that. I guess you can't trust anyone. At least you have the pics. Hilda

I'm sorry that had to happen to you. People can be so heartless and those are your memories. While that is a beautiful journal it has no special meaning for them. If they wanted to use it for ideas they could have asked your permission to take a couple pictures or something. Try to stay cool, Michelle P
