OT Fires in Kelowna, British Columbia

Hi everyone, Please put a positive thought for the city of Kelowna. One of our 900 forest fires in the province is approaching the city and has already burned some homes. Not sure yet how many but it's coming from the south. Carmen and my aunt are both in this city and I hope they and many others will be spared. There is supposed to be an announcement about 1130 tonight with what details I'm not sure. It's so bad they are asking folks not to use their phones as emergency crews are having problems communicating. They haven't had any rain in about 3 months and had a very dry winter. About 30,000 people [1/3] of the population have been given evacuation notice. There is also the chance of thundershowers with dry lightening happening. PLEASE send some rain our way. Thanks for the thoughts and prayers for these folks.

Thanks Sharon, will pass them on to folks. Just found out my aunt and husband are alright for the moment, their daughter, SIL, and 2 GS have been evacuated and their daughter's best friend's home has burnt to the ground. Missed the news so far today, got that from my mom who spoke with her sister. Still waiting to hear from Carmen.

Would love to have some, they say we might get some on Sunday night, Monday morning, it's getting cloudy right now, but now rain in sight.
