Don't apologize, Polly! We all care about how you're doing -- and we're grateful that your fence-climbing Yorkie is again home and safe. As for what to put on the tree, how about a sign (in addition to the panties, bra and garterbelt, of course) saying, "I'm not upside down -- the world is!"?

I vote for the "large" shocking pink panties and matching bra - maybe some fishnet hose to finish the outfit. Hang in there, Polly. You are one in a million.

Polly, if not us, who do you want to use as your sounding board. And to be honest I always look for your reports. They are honest, as things are and make me pray just that little bit harder that may help.

Don't even think of not reporting to us! You are the person who gives us a focus for all the good thoughts, which go not only to you but to everyone in your area. Which BTW is an area about the size of Great Britain, according to a German documentary I saw on TV last night. Puts it into perspective at least for us over on this side of the water. Roberta in D

What you need is a big old sparkly Elvis up in a panty root tree.

Being as that might be a bit tough to manage unless there is a sighting near you, you'll probably have to settle for the big old panties alone.

Howdy! A pair of striped stockings and some red shoes.

This is how Dorothy explained it to the Munchkins:

"The wind began to switch - the house to pitch and suddenly the hinges started to unhitch. Just then the Witch - to satisfy an itch went flying on her broomstick, thumbing for a hitch. And oh, what happened then was rich. The house began to pitch. The kitchen took a slitch. It landed on the Wicked Witch in the middle of a ditch, which was not a healthy situation for the Wicked Witch... who began to twitch and was reduced to just a stitch of what was once the Wicked Witch."

She will love it. Tell me about the "striped" stockings. Vertical or round-and-round? Color? Polly

The were horizontal red and white stripes, and lovely sparkly ruby heels.

Dear Polly No apologies needed. For me this is a window that I can trust. Never too sure what angle the media is playing and from here (in Oz) there seem to be a lot of adgendas being played out amidst the misery. Please let us know how we can best help and what you might need that we could supply. It goes without saying that prayers and hugs are winging to you and your neighbours in droves.

Anyway, using rctq as a personal message board beats having to set up and advertise a whole new blog, and in time to come you may find that your reflections and observations provide you with a kind of verbal snapshot of the situation you are living through. Marvellous data for a later study as well...

Gos bless.

Polly, no apologies necessary. I've been taking your posts to work and reading them over the lunch room table. It's been great for us (in Aus) to get your perspective. All my colleagues send their love and prayers. and you're right quilting/love, it's the same thing.

I think in the movie version they were red and white, round and round stockings with pointy toed shoes.
