OT- giggle if you want!

Would you believe it?

Some of the most unusual excuses that employees gave for missing work: Employee said he wasn't feeling well and wanted to rest up for the company's holiday party that night. Employee said her chickens' feet were frozen to the driveway. Employee said he was crabby and it wouldn't be good for business for him to be at work. At her sister's wedding, the employee chipped her tooth on a mint julep, bent over to spit it out, hit her head on a keg, was knocked unconscious and was suffering with a mild concussion. Employee claimed to have met a movie star and was spending the day with him. Employee was injured while getting a haircut. Employee tasted some dog food because the dog was not feeling well and now the employee was sick. Employee said her psychic told her to stay home or something awful would happen to her. Employee had been up all night because employee's favourite American Idol contestant had been voted off the show. Employee's roommate locked all his clothes in a shed for spite. A groundhog bit the employee's car tire, causing it to go flat. Source: Harris survey

It's scary how many of these I've heard from my employees! LOL

(I really did have an employee call in sick because he'd been up all night crying after his team lost the Super Bowl.)

That's not "callin' in sick" - that would be more appropriately termed "callin' in stupid." :)

Hugs!! Connie :)

I think 'lack of enthusiasm' can be applied to moi too :D OR

'I haven't got time since I've too many emails to read through'

OR how about 'I was playing at whipping my boyfriend's head with my hair and my head bounced off his skull and I now have concussion.' that's a true one used by DS's girlfriend only yesterday. He does have a hard head.

DH considered calling in with eye trouble...He couldn't see going to work that day. I don't think he ever tried it, though. Donna in Bellevue
