Hi Sandy, Yessiree...... LOTSA space for my SM, as well as my cutting mat, fabric, iron and smaller ironing board. I just bought a new laptop so I can hoist it back and forth to work and home, and BOY is she a beauty! Jeanne, you'll love the fact that it's lime green, to match my cell phone! I have to kind of rearrange things, but, I will be sewing at the front window, so I can see customers coming in the door. I simply have to sew at work, between customrs, to keep my inventory fresh and plentiful.

I will be running it by myself for a while... that's the plan anyway. I will be open 6 days a week (closed on Monday). I hope to get to a point where I can have someone in once in a while on a weekend or something, but, for the most part, it's my baby!

Congratulations and best of luck with this. :) Umm ... does this place have space for your computer and sewing machine? ;) Are you going to run the place all by yourself, or is there help? I think this sounds like a wonderful idea; I've never heard of a self-service dog wash before. :)

Hi Ginger My neighbor across the street used to be a professional photographer, and I think I have him talked into an afternoon of taking "Santa and the Mutt" photos. One of my other friends has already volunteered to dress up as Santa...... I think it will be great fun! I've also already began making some "gift baskets".... I think I have 6 done. They're rather adorable, if I do say so myself. I found some fabulous wire-edged ribbon with paw prints on it, and it was truly the magic touch. Thank you for your well wishes.

Have coffee/cookie treats available for the dog-parents - Seattle has a thing about coffee! Once you are set up, perhaps doing seasonal photo ops for dogs? Holiday/Easter/Spring/ summer vacation/back to school/fall/Halloween [you might be able to hire someone to dressup and act as Santa/Easter Bunny/etc] Down in Los angeles, that is quite the thing to do getting pics done of your animal like that. It may be too late since you open beginning of December to offer holiday gift bags for dog-parents to buy to give to their furred kids. Any way, good for you for being able to step out and do this venture! How inspiring! Ginger in CA

Thank you all, SO much, for all the kind words and well wishes. I'm so excited, and so scared - but, I truly believe this little venture will fly. Ohhhhh, the sleepless nights I've had! Wish you were all here, so you could come by and have a look, have a coffee, and sit a spell.

If I lived anywhere near, I'd be tempted to get a puppy, just so you could provide the treats! Roberta in D

I'm glad you'll have the room there for your "stuff"! That will give you something to do, also, during those inevitable slow spells between frenzied rushes. *And* you'll be able to monitor our group!

Congratulations again, Patti! How exciting! :D

Of course! Come see me. My shop will be in Southwest Seattle.... a little area called "White Center". As soon as my website is launched, you can get the phone number and address off the website. Just a hop off the West Seattle Bridge......

I dunno if I'll have enough time to do anythng for Christmas.... but I like the thought for the other holidays.

I've been trying to come up with some "dog theme" music. Maybe I should do a separate post and let everyone contribute to my customized CD.

Have you thought of taking photos to sell? Maybe have some holiday theme hats and scarfs to sell, then photograph the pooch wearing the new attire. Just right for the up coming holidays!
