OT Has anyone used PC Stitch or PC Stitch Pro?

Long ago in the dark ages I charted counted cross stitch designs by hand on graph paper. Once I started quilting I dropped my cross stitching. Now I hear so many baby boomers, whose eyes no long let them cross stitch, lamenting the fact that there are few quality stamped cross stitch items available. Could I design the stamped type cross stitch with PC Stitcher Pro and print it on one of the wash away pattern transfer products? I have used these wash away products for Redwork very successfully. Have any of you used the PC Stitcher or PC Stitcher Pro? Is it as revolutionary to cross stitching as EQ has been to quilting?

Hi Susan

I have the PCStitch pro. I use it occasionally, much as I use the EQ software occasionally.Basically, when I use either, I'm happy with them; they get the job done and that is afterall what I'm after, a tool to make my life easier. And yes, the PCStitch does that. Whether or not the upgrade to the pro version is worth it, well I guess not. It really does not provide anything WOW that the original did not. Just little things that do not make a huge difference. It is still not the most user friendly program I have dealt with, but, like I said, if you pur enough time and energy into it, it will get the job done. I had the demo version for a while, but eventually bought the program. Their support is quite good and to date I have always managed to get problems solved. Maybe using the demo version first will give you a good idea of whether or not it will do for you what you want it to.

Hope this helps
