OT - Jo's Seasonal Chuckle

In Russia there lived a man named Rudolf. He and his wife had several children and, one day while getting everyone dressed and out to school, Rudolf mentioned to his wife that it was raining and the kids needed their coats and boots. His wife said to him that he was wrong and it was actually snowing. Rudolf insisted it was raining and his wife insisted it was snowing. This went on for several minutes until Rudolf settled it by looking out the window again, and saying to his wife.... "Rudolf the Red knows rain, dear."

Thank you so much, Jo, for playing with me. I love that joke too, oh mercy, how I love it. Now that the Christmas Season is officially underway, we can join Leslie and do some holiday cooking and decorating and the rest of the fun stuff. It's just so neat to be able to orchestrate joke telling all the way from Mississippi to Scotland. My grandmothers would never have believed such a moment could be possible. Happy Polly

And how lovely for us to know that 'things' sometimes do stay the same. Tradition is tradition is tradition .... marvellous. So, with one smile, broadened by another, I, too will start the Christmas baking. . In message , Polly Esther writes

I love this joke. Reminds me of a joke I heard many many years ago. I can no longer remember the joke but the punchline will remain with me forever: "Pardon me Roy, is that the cat who chewed your new shoes?"

Laughing all the way, Sunny

My DH has a bunch of those jokes...."Pardon me Roy" is one of his favorites. There is also the one about "Oppornockity the piano tuner"...he only tunes once. Another one about "people who live in glass houses shouldn't stow thrones". Those are the ones I can still remember. I think he'll have to wait for grandchilden for a new audience. We've heard them all. KJ
