OT! looking for yarn

I have posted this over on RCTY but decided to put it here just in case as you girls get up to much more than some of you would ever admit to craftwise (we won't go into anything else here LOL):

I crocheted a wrap last year and came to the conclusion that halfway down my back was too skinny for my liking as I like to have my whole back covered with a wrap. So I ripped it all out (being grateful this yarn will come out nicely) and started again this time to the width I wanted, of course I ran out of yarn. so now I'm looking for some more yarn for this project. The yarn is by scheepjeswol and is called "tossa" and I need 3 each more of the rust and the brown colourways. a photo of the yarn in the project is in my yahoo photo files

I'm also happy with less than the 3 of each - even one more will get me closer to my goal length :-) I know something (yarn/fabric/chocolate or something else) can be arranged to compensate for the yarn and postage :-)

thanks!

Jess,

Does Tossa translate to something else in english?

Do you have a pic of the yarn wrapper?

Ask over at rec.crafts.textiles.yarn. They are very kind to visitors. I was hoping to find a source for Patton's Beehive. It's what we love for preemie baby caps. Several of the posters tried to help. Polly

Can't remember - did you get the Beehive? Or are you still looking?

no it doesn't - I found a reference to it on ebay but it was someone offering olive

I don't have the wrapper anymore - I just have a good memory for names it's one of those ones that goes through the middle of a skein

I managed to find a tiny collection of Beehive by Patton but not much. It seems like the company quit making it. This is all Kate T's fault. She's the one who pointed out the superiority of that yarn - therefore, she's Chairman of the Committee to elect another choice. =) (Beehive is somehow sturdy enough for hospital laundry but remains as soft and weightless as a butterfly's kiss.) The softness yard we have used in our family is Caron Simply Soft

My mother and sisters have made many of afghans out of this and a few of them have been washed many, many times.

Just posting so if you want to change yards. This can be hard to find but it worth the effort of looking.
