OT New furry addition

Hi folks, Just thought I'd let you know the story of our new addition. Last week DH and DS went over to Wick (45mile round trip) to go to Pets at Home so DS could get some bits and bobs for his two tanks in which he keeps a rainbow crab and in the other 3 hermit crabs. DD wanted to go along. Big mistake. She phoned me trying to persuade me to get DH to buy her a guinea pig she saw. I said no. 15 minutes later she phoned again and tried the thumb screws again. Again I said no. DH was also adamant there was going to be no more furries. (we already have 4 bunnies, cute as they are that's enough for me to take care of not to mention any costs involved). She was not a happy bunny. Anyway, yesterday she said she was meeting up with her boyfriend and that he'd told her he'd bought her a present. Off she went then I got a phone call. "Mum you're going to kill me" Yep you guessed probably already. He'd only gone over to PAH and bought her it. Well him to be precise. It's a orangy brownie colouring and shaggy type fur. She's named him Stewie. Hmmm. Anyway, I told her she had to keep him in her room. One way of making sure she cleans him out regularly. He's being housed in our house bunnies' now redundant cage so he's got loads of room as it's a big cage. I some how suspect she's engineered the whole thing. Hmmm. Stewie however is such a cutie but I'm not going to admit that to DD.

How do the girls ALWAYS manage to find a male they can twist round their little finger - either Dad, BF, Grandpa..... Us Mums have no chance. I remember when DD used to get my ex to buy her Barbie dolls as I wouldn't. He didn't approve of them either but DD always won out. If it wasn't Barbie it was my little pony or some other pink abomination.

For "almost live" guinea pig activity you can always visit OinkerNet.com.

This is a web site with camera(s) of my sister-in-law and her husband's guinea pigs. Very popular with many people.
