OT Postal costs increase USA

Well, postage costs have increased in the USA, effective today, May 12. So, if you plan to send me chocolate or fabric, it will cost more now than it did last week! In that case, I will be extra grateful! Here is chart I copied from about.com site.

Yup, I had to mail an envelope to Europe today, and it was $.94. Naturally, the information I needed prior to sending it couldn't have come last week, could it? ;)

You'd better check. My post office said the forever stamps only came in the booklets. I tried on several occassions to get the rolls but he said they weren't available in that way.

Yeah, if you got rolls, you got the 41-cent stamps.

When I heard about the price hike I went to the post office and bought a roll of "forever stamps", so perhaps they were just out of the rolls in some post offices.

I saw something on the net a couple weeks ago about the stamps going up so I went to the P.O. to buy some forever stamps. I asked for rolls but the clerk said he was out of them. If the stamps are still for sale, you might be able to get them before the supply is gone.

You'll pay 42 cents for forever stamps now. The price of the forever stamps is the same as the current first class price. Of course, if you really want some that someone paid 41 cents for, you can buy them on e-bay. According to the website, forever stamps are sold in books of 20 and sheetlets of 18; there is no mention of rolls. All forever stamps have a picture of the liberty bell; if you have a roll of stamps with a picture of something other than the liberty bell, you do not have forever stamps.
