Pat, Was this a pattern in Christine Porter's book? it's fabulous!! I did a quilt of her "Scottish Fantasia" in a class. Your colors are wonderful. Congrats!

Thanks Amy. No, it wasn't a pattern from Christine Porter's book. I have taken photographs of all the sections of this beautiful floor and this quilt is an exact copy (though different colours) of the floor of the choir section of the cathedral. Christine lives in Bristol, and so she has used many of the patterns in her quilts. Also, the whole style (Cosmati) is a recognised old Italian style of tiling floors. .
