After being handed a totally bs response when I went to ask for clarification as to the disciplinary action taken, an email was sent to the next level.....I am now waiting to hear back as to when a meeting has been set up that will (supposedly) include the principal, vice principal, head of bus garage, resource officer, my husband, and me....to address the various issues that have been going on.
Not once, until I received the phone call from the assistant superintendent) did anyone say that, for assault and battery in middle school the students only get AES until they have committed the act 4 or more times.....not one did they say that the automatic suspension only applied to high school students....regardless, at what age does this county hold students responsible for their actions??? Apparently not until they are in 9th grade, regardless of their age at that time.....yeah, it's a whole ball of WTF around here, so I guess I just wait until the meeting (where husband will be doing most of the talking) to see what they come up with...and it had better NOT be changing my son's schedule since he is not the one who did anything wrong (not to mention randomly switching the schedule of a child on the autism spectrum is NOT something anyone should want to do given the chaos that will result).
