OT Seasonal Greetings

Tomorrow is the "official" summer solstice here according to the weather forecaster on tonight's news. So many religious festivals fall at this time of year that I am hesitant to try to list them all lest I offend by forgetting one.

For me, this is the season of Christmas, celebrated in the heat of summer Downunder, and not so much a religious event as a time to remember friends and family and exchange gifts. Many of my friends are in the Northern Hemisphere and celebrate very different traditions.

I try to make contact with all my friends around this time but I may not manage everyone this year. This does not mean that you are not remembered and cared for.

As I may not be "on-line" much for the next few weeks I would like to take this opportunity to wish all here peace, health and prosperity for the coming year, and however you celebrate this season may it be safe and joyous for you and yours.

I hope to catch up on all that happens here in the New Year.

See you in 2007

Happy holidays to you too, Cheryl, and to every one of my rctq friends. Were those little snowflakes falling in your e-card? Or some sort of downunder pollen? Roberta in D

Thank-ee muchly Chezza!!!

I think we had a chat/discussion/debate about what we alll called Christmas awhiles back. Believe someone celebrated Kissmoose whilst here in Melbourne my family celebrates Krip-siss (originated when DD1 couldn't say Christmas and ..... well it stuck).

So to everyone, enjoy the holidays, have fun and indulge a little bit (or a lotta bit), and remember someone less fortunate than yourselves.

Hugs and love
